At U Plus Me LLC, warrants its workmanship against delamination, chipping, and peeling resulting from material or installation failure under normal use and conditions, provided that all work is performed in accordance with our specifications, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards.
This coverage applies exclusively to areas installed by our team and specified in your signed agreement, provided maintenance follows manufacturer standards.
What is Not Covered
Pre-existing & Future Cracking Existing cracks, hairline cracks, or future cracking.
Structural Slab Movement Expansion, contraction, shifting, settling, heaving, or movement of the concrete slab or substrate
Reflective Cracking (Telegraphing) Growth or telegraphing of cracks through any coating, overlay, or finish.
Substrate & Original Placement Defects Structural defects, sub-base failure, or poor original concrete placement
Moisture & Hydrostatic Pressure Moisture vapor transmission, hydrostatic pressure, or standing water, unless a specific moisture mitigation system was included in the scope of work
Natural Aging & Weathering Normal wear and tear, fading, discoloration, or surface changes due to UV exposure, weather, chemicals, or age.
Physical Abuse & Impact Damage Damage caused by impact, abuse, neglect, sharp objects, heavy equipment, or dragging items
Chemical Exposure & Staining Staining or degradation caused by oils, solvents, fertilizers, salt, pool chemicals, or improper cleaning products.
Environmental & Biological Growth Mold, mildew, algae, or biological growth resulting from environmental conditions or lack of maintenance.
Important Notice: Concrete is a natural material. Cracking and movement are inherent and unavoidable. No coating can stop the natural forces of substrate movement.
Warranty FAQ
Concrete cracks are typically the result of sub-grade movement, settling, or thermal expansion in the Florida heat. Since we are applying a decorative overlay and not replacing the structural slab itself, we cannot control the ground movement that may cause a crack to reappear (telegraph) through the new finish.
Delamination refers to the coating or overlay losing its physical bond with the concrete surface. Our warranty covers this because it is usually related to material quality or installation technique, which are factors we 100% control.
While we use high-quality UV-resistant sealers, all outdoor surfaces in Florida experience some degree of weathering. Our warranty covers abnormal discoloration, but natural aging and minor fading due to constant sun exposure are considered normal wear and tear.
Yes, but with caution. We recommend a wide-angle tip and a maximum of 2500 PSI. Using industrial-strength pressure at a very close range can damage the sealer and eventually the overlay, which would not be covered under the warranty.
